Disclaimer & Terms of Service

Welcome to Docnity. By booking our services, you agree to the following terms and disclaimers:

1. General Disclaimer
Docnity is a healthcare coordination platform. We connect patients with verified doctors, nurses, caretakers, and medical attendants for home-based care.
All medical advice, diagnosis, prescriptions, and treatment are provided solely by the consulting doctor. Nursing and attendant care is delivered by assigned professionals based on the doctor’s or family’s instructions.
Docnity does not provide emergency medical services. In case of any life-threatening condition (e.g., severe chest pain, stroke, major injury, loss of consciousness), please call 108 or visit the nearest hospital immediately.

2. Liability
Docnity verifies the credentials of doctors, nurses, and attendants, but the responsibility for medical advice and caregiving rests with the professional delivering the service.
Docnity is not liable for treatment outcomes, emergencies, accidents, injuries, or complications before, during, or after the visit.
Caretakers / medical attendants are non-medical supportive staff unless otherwise trained. They assist with daily activities, mobility, hygiene, feeding, and basic care, but they are not responsible for medical decision-making.

3. Booking & Cancellation Policy
Once a home visit or care service is confirmed, our professionals are reserved for that time.
If the doctor, nurse, caretaker, or attendant has already been dispatched / reached the patient’s home, the service cannot be cancelled or refunded.
If the patient or family is not available at the confirmed time/place, full charges will still apply.

4. Payments
Consultation fees and service charges are communicated clearly before booking.
Payments once made are non-refundable except if Docnity cancels due to unavailability.

5. Insurance
Some services may be covered under health insurance. Docnity provides invoices and reports, but approval depends entirely on your insurance provider.

6. Safety & Hygiene
All doctors, nurses, and attendants follow standard sanitization and infection control practices.
Patients/families must maintain a safe and hygienic environment at home.

7. Consent
By booking a Docnity service, you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms.
You acknowledge that Docnity is a service coordination platform and not a substitute for emergency medical care or hospital admission.
